The Wooster City School District’s board of education is considering an administrative recommendation to eliminate the district’s pay-to-play fees.  Currently, the district charges a one-time fee of $120 for high school athletes, regardless of how many sports they play, and $50 to play sports at Edgewood Middle School.  Those rates are said to be the highest of any school district in Wayne County.  School board members are expected to talk about the recommendation and address any questions about it at their February work session.  If approved, the change would take effect in the fall.
