The Wooster City School District has outlined its preliminary plans for reopening in the fall. The plan calls for the schools to open, with four different plans being proposed that is set to accommodate all people involved. The First option has two parts, a blended approach where students would come to school two days and the other three days would be used to study at home or in an alternative setting, or families would be able to keep students home the other three days and use the districts remote learning programs. The second option would be full remote learning through the Generals Academy and the final option would be full return to school, but only if a vaccine has been developed. A virtual Town Hall will be held with the public on July 7th at 6 p.m. to allow residents to give feedback on the plans, with the board voting on the COVID-19 Education Recovery Plan at its July 28th meeting.
