A Wooster family’s home was heavily damaged by fire yesterday afternoon.  Firefighters were called out to the North Columbus Avenue home at around 2:45 p.m.  Crews were able to quickly put out the blaze, but firefighters said the two-story house sustained significant damage to the first floor and heavy smoke damage throughout the entire home.  Fire department officials say the cause of the fire was accidental, and the family, who escaped unharmed, is now being helped by the American Red Cross.
