A Wooster man was arraigned this week on charges that he brutally abused his dog. John Wickens was officially arraigned on Wednesday, in Wayne County Municipal Court, where he pleaded not guilty to three counts related to animal cruelty, two of them misdemeanors and the other a felony. The alleged abuse, which reportedly took place in February, was so severe that the three-year old female dog had to be euthanized. Wickens’ next scheduled court appearance has been set for the middle of May.
