Long-time journalist, and Wooster native, Jack Perkins has died. Perkins, a 1951 Wooster High graduate, passed away Monday in Florida at the age of 85. He held many titles during his storied career, including reporter, war correspondent and anchorman. Perkins worked for a time on NBC’s Nightly News, occasionally hosted the Today Show and served as host of A&E’s Biography back in the mid-to-late 90s.
