After 29 years at the Wooster Police Department, Officer Matt Cruise celebrated his last day on Friday, which involved a drive-thru style celebration at Freedlander Park in Wooster. Dozens of area residents participated in the celebration, all stopping by to congratulate Officer Cruise. Cruise was hired in 1992 and has been involved with SWAT, the detective bureau, and the creation of the Community Relations Officer position, which was started in 2016.
