The Wooster Recreation Department and Community Center has announced that starting Monday March 16 that they will be cancelling all Recreation Department sponsored events and programming through March 28.
Refunds will be issued to all customers who have previously paid for cancelled class dates and events.
At this time, the following programs and events will be impacted:
- Community Center Fitness Center will be closed
- Senior Programming in the Community Center and the Chalet at Freedlander Park including Bingo, Euchre, Bridge, Card & Board Game Groups, Mahjong, Billiards, Ping Pong, Chair Yoga and Fitness Classes.
- Adult Programming in the Community Center including Zumba, Yoga and Tai Chi.
- Mom & Me Event at the Wooster Community Center on March 20, 2020
- Jane Austen Ball at the Chalet at Freedlander Park on March 28, 2020
AARP Tax Aide and Meals on Wheels will continue to operate in the Community Center building until further notice. At this time, voting will take place at the Community Center on March 17, 2020. The Learn N’ Play Preschool located in the lower level of the Community Center will remain open until further notice.
For the time being, the Community Center will remain open to customers for program registration and pavilion and room reservations, however, registrations and reservations can also be completed over the phone by calling (330)263-5207 and online at www.woosteroh.com/recreation.
