The Wooster City Schools have announced that starting November 1st the mask policy for students will be optional.  Wooster has required its students to wear a mask since the beginning of the school year.  The school board voted to change that last night following a comprehensive report by Superintendent Gabe Tudor on the status of the pandemic in the district and community discussion by the board.  As long as cases remain below a 3 percent threshold the mask policy will be optional.

Orrville City Schools decided to lift its mask mandate during their board meeting last week.  The mask mandate does remain on school buses in the district.
