One of the largest American flags in Ohio will soon be flying high over Wooster.  The 30-foot by 60-foot flag will be raised on the opening day of the Wayne County Fair, on a pole standing 140-feet high, located in front of the Fairgrounds’ event center.  The $60,000 flag pole was completely paid for with funds from the Wooster Rotary Club, although donations are now being sought for the flag and pole’s maintenance and upkeep.  Rotary and fair board officials say the flag pole’s spot was chosen so that it would be a focal point for fairgoers, while also being easily visible to motorists on U.S. Route 30.
