A Wooster woman will spend the next three years on probation for abusing a dog that later died from its injuries. 30-year old Ashley Mace was sentenced yesterday in Stark County Common Pleas Court, after pleading guilty to the charges against her. Mace was arrested last December when police were called out to a home in Canton for a domestic dispute and found an eight-week old pit bull wrapped up in a shower curtain and submerged in water. Mace’s probation will include a mental health evaluation and one year spent in the county’s intensive supervision program.
