A Wooster woman was sentenced yesterday in Stark County for her role in the death of a Canton man last year. 29-year old Joi Griffith was given twelve years in prison on felony counts that included complicity to aggravated robbery and complicity to aggravated burglary. An additional count of murder was dismissed as part of a plea deal. The charges stem from a home invasion in the summer of 2019, in which Griffith served as the would-be robbers get away driver. The break-in ended though with one of the suspects, 24-year old Nicholas Hug, being shot and killed by the home’s owner.
