Wooster Youth Baseball has decided to move forward with abbreviated  seasons for its 10U and 12U divisions while canceling the season for all  other age groups. Teams in the two remaining age groups will play six  regular season games apiece beginning June 29. Teams normally play 12 game seasons.  The board ultimately made the decision to press forward with only two divisions, citing particular concerns for the younger age groups.

The league also made a list of league-specific guidelines that will differ from what some parents and players are used to.

Spectator bleachers and concessions are both closed for the season. Families can bring their own food and drink. Spectators will also not be allowed to watch from behind the backstop. That area will be designated for players so they are able to maintain proper social distance.

A no-touch rule will be instituted outside of the field of play, meaning no high-fives or handshake lines. Parents and guardians are expected to perform wellness checks for anyone attending the game, including players. That includes taking temperatures and watching for other symptoms.
