The State Highway Patrol says that two people were killed early this morning in a  wrong-way crash on Interstate 77 in Tuscarawas County. The incident reportedly happened around 12:15 AM near milepost 86 in Franklin Township. Authorities say that a Mercedes Benz car was going northbound in the southbound lane on  I-77, when it then slammed head on into a Chevrolet Cruze going southbound. The two drivers involved, both male, were pronounced dead at the scene. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash, which remains under investigation.
