Walnut Hills Retirement Community, in Walnut Creek, will hold a Community Cookout and Cruise-In Car Show next week. The free event will take place on Thursday, May 16th, from 11am-1pm, and is being held in conjunction with National Nursing Home Week, which runs from May 12th to the 18th. The cookout will feature hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans and pasta salad, as well as drinks and dessert. Organizers say it will be held under the large carport area right in front of the nursing home.
