The Daily Record’s printing facility in Wooster will cease operations next month.  Gannett, the newspaper’s parent company, announced on Thursday that most of the work done in Wooster will be moved to its printing facility in Canton, while a small amount will be done in Detroit.  The Wooster facility will officially close on January 30th.  According to Gannet, the closure will affect fewer than 50 employees, although the exact number hasn’t been made public.  Gannet officials also say that all of the Wooster workers will have the opportunity to seek employment elsewhere within the company.
