Local groups are thinking that establishing drinking areas outside in downtown restaurants will help businesses in downtown Wooster.  The Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Wooster are assisting local restaurant owners in exploring the creation of a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area, also known as a DORA.  It would allow participating restaurants to serve alcohol in a special cup that would have a dated receipt.  Customers could then take it outside in special designated areas.  Many restaurants now have reduced seating due to coronavirus restrictions.  It is something that would have to be presented to city council to be approved.
