Family pet dies in Wadsworth house fire

A fire Tuesday afternoon in Wadsworth claimed the life of a family pet, but no other injuries were reported. The fire was reported just before 3 p.m. Tuesday at a home on Water St. The homes occupants weren’t home at the time of the fire, which was isolated to just one room and a porch, but the family’s dog died in the fire. The cause of that fire remains under investigation.
