After eight years of planning, ground has officially been broken for the new Wayne County Jail.  The two-phase project, which is expected to cost nearly $60 million and take roughly three years to complete, had its ceremonial groundbreaking last week in Wooster, in what currently is the Wayne County Justice Center’s parking lot.  Phase one of the project will be the construction of the new jail.  Phase two will be the renovation of the county’s current jail.
