Ice Festival taking place this weekend in Medina

The 26^th Annual Ice Festival will take place this weekend in Medina. The festival will run through Sunday with a variety of activities planned for the weekend. Friday will see speed carving competitions and at 7:30 the fire and ice tower will be lit. Saturday will see carving competitions take place between 1-4 pm, with demonstrations taking place throughout the morning. Sunday will see the team and individual ice carving competitions from noon to 4pm. Almost 200 blocks of ice were moved onto the square in Medina in preparation for the event.
