Man charged with drunk driving following fatal crash

A Wooster man accused of causing a fatal accident on Christmas Eve is now facing charges of drunk driving.  25-year old Mitchell Cecil reportedly ran a stop sign Tuesday night at the intersection of Honeytown and Smithville Western roads, crashing into a vehicle that was attempting to turn left.  Killed in the crash was an 87-year old Wooster woman, who was a passenger in the car Cecil hit.  He’ll be arraigned next week in Wayne County Municipal Court.  Additional charges could still be filed, including aggravated vehicular homicide.
