Wooster business owners who are looking to upgrade the exteriors of their buildings or make repairs will soon have a new grant available to them. According to Wooster City Councilman At-large Jon Ansel, the city put aside $50,000 in the 2022 budget that was allocated to eligible projects that meet a certain criteria. However, the criteria and numbers for the grant have yet to be determined. Main Street Wooster’s executive director Sharron Waller says that the grant may enable business owners to have up to 50 percent of construction costs covered by the city. Several other cities in Ohio reportedly have a similar grant already in place.
