The Orrville Area United Way recently hosted its annual Volunteer Appreciation Celebration to shine a spotlight on its dedicated volunteers in the Dalton, Marshallville and Orrville service areas. Two volunteers in particular were singled out for their efforts. Walter Samson was honored with the organization’s highest award, the Gene & Mickey Workman Lifetime Achievement Award, while Shane Scarbrough received the Patti Ayers YES! Award for the impact he’s had at the United Way and within the community.
