The Wayne County Dog Shelter is celebrating its five-year anniversary this month. The shelter, established in September of 2015, is dedicated to caring for the county’s stray dogs. Since its inception, the shelter’s director says that more than 1,300 of its dogs have been adopted, including about 200 so far this year.
