Wooster’s Westminster Presbyterian Church is celebrating its 150th anniversary with a medical debt forgiveness campaign. Beginning in late February, Westminster initiated a Mustard Seed campaign to forgive medical debt for residents in Wayne and surrounding counties. The church’s initial goal was to raise $10,000 from its congregation and the community, but it quickly surpassed that number and is now approaching the $2 million mark. At the end of the campaign, the funds will be used in Wayne County, as well as Ashland, Holmes, Medina, Stark and Summit counties.
