The Wooster Planning Commission has voted unanimously to approve the recommendation of a housing development in Wooster. The proposed plan would see the construction of a 141-unit housing development on 22 acres of vacant land on Melrose Drive. The recommendation also includes a change in zoning on the land, shifting from single detached housing to a Planned Development, which includes duplexes, single-story apartments, three-story townhouses, and 23 single-story family homes. The recommendation now heads to Wooster City Council for a final vote.
