Angela Wypasek is officially Wayne County’s new lead prosecutor. Wypasek was elected to the position during last week’s local Republican Party Central Committee meeting, replacing the recently retired Dan Lutz, who stepped down halfway through his term. According to state law, if a county prosecutor exits before their term expires, the political party they belong to votes for a replacement. Wypasek will complete the unexpired term before potentially running next year for a full term of her own.
