Wayne County Historical Society presents Wayne County Coverlets

Wayne County Historical Society Featured Exhibit for 2019. Open through October 26, 2019 Exhibit curated by the Textile Committee showcases a wonderful array of coverlets, some of which have not been exhibited in nearly 20 years.The exhibit is open during regular tour hours–Friday and Saturday, 1:00PM–4:00PM when docents will be available. A self-guided tour is available during Tuesday office hours, 1:00PM–4:00PM. Special tours can be scheduled by calling the Society’s office 330-264-8856.

Newkirk Memorial Day Services

May 26

Newkirk Memorial Day services will be Sunday, May 26 at 9 a.m. at the Newkirk Cemetery. The color guard from the Shreve American Legion will present the colors and Sue Smail, Wayne Co. Commissioner will be guest speaker. Flags will be placed on veterans' graves from the Revolutionary War to the present day.

Memorial Day Parade Procession

Memorial Day Parade Procession On behalf of the Orrville American Legion, (237 E. Market St. and the Orrville V.F.W. (430 W. Market St.), the procession will start at the American Legion west to Crown Hill Rd, turn right, proceed to the north entrance at the cemetery, then turn west to the Veteran Memorial.
