A Wayne County middle-schooler is headed to the Scripps National Spelling Bee after taking the top prize over the weekend at the Akron Beacon Journal Regional Spelling Bee, in Hudson.  12-year old Zach Yeager, of Doylestown, is a seventh grader at Chippewa Jr. High School.  He defeated 35 other spellers from Wayne, Medina, Summit and Portage counties.  Yeager’s victory came in the 11th round, when he correctly spelled the word dimorphism.  The Scripps National Spelling Bee will take place during the final week of May in Oxon Hill, Maryland, just outside of Washington D.C.
