Law enforcement set to crack down on package stealers

Local law enforcement officials are taking extra steps this holiday season to try and keep people from stealing packages off of other people’s porches. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is teaming up with Medway, along police in Wooster, Rittman, Orrville, and Doylestown in an effort to cut down on so called “porch pirates”.  Those efforts will include placing decoy packages on porches with GPS tracking devices inside, which will enable authorities to catch the thieves red-handed.
