Apple Creek Man sentenced on rape and possession charges

An Apple Creek man was sentenced to six years in prison Wednesday for raping a Mansfield woman last year near Wooster.34 year-old Timothy Luke pleaded guilty last month to charges of rape and possession of cocaine, and had faced a maximum of 12 years for the charges. Those charges stem from an incident last year where Luke met up with and then raped the 29 year-old Mansfield woman at the EconoLodge on East Lincoln Way, the woman reported the incident to police immediately after it happened. Luke will also need to register as a tier III sex offender once he is released from prison.
