Bits & Pieces, Ann Gasbarre’s long-running column in the Daily Record, has come to an end.  Her final column, which appeared in Friday’s edition of the paper, brought to an end a more than 50-year career at the paper for Gasbarre, who began working there as an intern while she was a senior in high school.  Gasbarre retired from her full-time position at the paper back in 2006, but was asked at that time to continue writing her Bits & Pieces column, which initially focused on community events, but eventually evolved into a weekly piece about Wooster’s past.  Gasbarre says that even though her time at the paper is over, she is not done writing yet, and is currently working on a book about her life.
