The Town and Country Fire District has set up a GoFundMe account for the family of Lt. Philip Wigal, the 35-year old firefighter killed Monday afternoon when he was struck by a semi while helping with the investigation of an earlier crash on I-71. Wigal had been a member of the department since 2006. The fire district set a fundraising goal of $10,000, a number which community members have already surpassed. All proceeds from the GoFundMe account will go directly to Wigal’s wife and two daughters.
