Fire destroys garage in Wayne County’s Franklin Township

A fire yesterday afternoon in Wayne County’s Franklin Township completely destroyed a garage on East Moreland Road.  Firefighters from five different departments responded to the blaze just after twelve o’clock.  Fire officials say the garage is a total loss, but fortunately no one was injured.  It is believed the fire began when a gust of wind blew the flames of a nearby trash fire into the building.
