The city of Ashland is kicking around the idea of creating a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area for its downtown shoppers, meaning that they’d be able to openly drink alcohol outdoors . City Council members are expected to consider the idea next month. In the meantime, they are asking for residents to let them know what they think of the idea, both positive and negative. The city says the conversation about forming a DORA in Ashland began nearly three years ago, during the height of the COVID pandemic.
