Boy rescued after fall at Mohican

Emergency crews rescued a 16-year old boy from Mohican State Park on Monday after he reportedly fell from one of the park’s trails.  According to the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office, the boy was taken by helicopter to Akron City Hospital with undisclosed injuries.  The teen was reportedly a runaway from the Young Star Academy in Perrysville, a private treatment facility for young males.  The incident remains under investigation.
