The City of Wadsworth could soon join three other area cities on the national register of historic cities. Wadsworth was given $12,000 in grant money to hire a historical preservation consultant. The expert will be tasked with analyzing most areas of Wadsworth’s historic district to gain a spot on the national registry. The city will need $20,000 to file for nomination and are asking for the public’s help in raising the money. If approved for the registry, the city will join Kent, Medina and Wooster on the national registry.
