The Northwestern Local School District will be hosting a community gathering tonight to remember and honor the life of Lt. Philip Wigal, the 35-year old Town and Country firefighter killed Monday afternoon when he was struck by a semi while helping with the investigation of an earlier crash on I-71. The event, which is scheduled to get underway at 7:30pm inside Husky Stadium, is being held in conjunction with a nationwide mile walk honoring the memory of Wigal. According to the district’s Facebook page, tonight’s gathering will include a time of prayer asking for comfort and peace for Wigal’s family.
