Expansion continuing at the regional training facility

Expansion continues at the Wayne County Fire and Rescue Association Regional Training Facility in East Union Township. The Association, however, is still in need of funds to complete all of the projects that they have going. The capital project has a price of $2.7 million, and they have raised $2.1 million of that money. The grain silo training project is nearing completion, while other projects currently being worked on include a driving course that will help with firefighter certification, and a new driveway entrance for the facility is being constructed. A new educational training building is also under construction, with a May 2020 completion date.
