Fatal accident in Holmes County

One woman was killed this morning following ahead-on crash on State Route 39, west of County Road 292 in Hardy Township.  70-year old Deborah Schaffer of Millersburg was pronounced dead at the scene.  The Holmes County Sheriff’s Department says that Schaffer’s vehicle went left of center and struck another vehicle head on.  That vehicle was a Ford F150 pickup driven by a Missouri man.  He was not injured in the accident.  Two other vehicles were also involved, as they were struck during the accident.  The people in those other vehicles did not suffer any serious injuries.  The crash is still under investigation.
