A former choir instructor at Wooster High School has been given three years’ probation for having a sexual relationship with a 17-year old student.  37-year old Emily Patterson was sentenced on Wednesday, after pleading guilty last month to a felony count of sexual battery.  Patterson worked for the district for nearly eight years before resigning in June of 2020.  Police say the inappropriate relationship with the teen took place over three months in late 2019.  In addition to her probation, Patterson was also labeled a tier three sex offender.
