The funeral for Lt. Philip Wigal, the Town & Country firefighter killed this week in the line of duty, will take place this morning at 10 o’clock, at the Wooster Church of the Nazarene, on Oak Hill Road.  According to a press release from the fire district, services will be followed by a funeral procession up to West Salem Cemetery, where Wigal will be laid to rest.  The 35-year old died Monday afternoon while investigating a single-vehicle crash on I-71 when a commercial vehicle drove into the accident scene.  He leaves behind a wife and two daughters.  A GoFundMe account set up by the fire district for Wigal’s family has so far raised more than $31,000.
