The Holmes County General Health District is one step closer to having a new home after county commissioners recently settled on a general contractor for the project.  Construction work could begin as early as April, and is expected to take around a year to complete.  The two-story, $7.5 million building will be located on Glen Drive.  Originally, the project had a price tag of only $4 million, but over time it nearly doubled due to the escalating cost of building supplies.
