For the time being, Holmes-Wayne Electric Cooperative is suspending all late charges and will not shut off anyone’s electricity just because they haven’t paid their bill. The announcement was made on Monday, in what cooperative members say is an effort to help families whose jobs and finances have been effected by the spread of the coronavirus. Holmes-Wayne Electric has also implemented a pandemic flu policy meant to keep its staff and members safe as it continues to provide around-the-clock service to the community.
