Loudonville man killed in head-on Ashland County crash

A two-vehicle accident Monday afternoon in Ashland County claimed the life of a man from Loudonville.  According to the Highway Patrol, 51-year old William Rutherford was killed when a pickup truck went left of center on State Route 60 and struck his car head-on.  The 16-year old driver of the pickup was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries, while a 24-year old passenger in Rutherford’s car was hospitalized with series injuries.  The crash remains under investigation.
