A Massillon man will stand trial in Wayne County this spring on charges related to a Wooster man’s overdose death in 2018. 22 year-old Timothy Cottrell was found competent to stand trial this week after undergoing a competency test in January. Cottrell is facing multiple charges, including involuntary manslaughter, for the 2018 overdose death of 24 year-old Niokolas Snyder. Cottrell sold fentanyl and carfentanil to Snyder, causing his overdose death. Cottrell’s trial is set to begin May 4th in Wayne County Common Pleas Court.
