New restrictions on recycling have limited what could be processed from the Wayne County Fair this year. The sorting center no longer is accepting glass products and the center now requires materials to be presorted to eliminate any materials that may be contaminated. The whole load of recycling would face rejection if those steps weren’t taken, and in total 15,460 pounds was processed, down from almost 25,000 pounds from last year.
