Pirates’ outfielder Jack Suwinski hit three home runs, his third in the ninth inning to give Pittsburgh a 4-3, walk-off victory over the San Francisco Giants on Sunday to avoid a three-game sweep. Suwinski is the first Pirates rookie to hit three homers in a game since Andrew McCutchen on Aug. 1, 2009. And according to the Elias Sports Bureau, he’s the first rookie to cap a three-homer game with a game-ending shot.
