Holmes County Commissioners say it could take nearly six months to clean up debris and remove all of the fallen trees, following the strong storms that blew through the area two weeks ago.  Scattered branches and trees continue to litter much of Holmes County, along with the southern parts of Wayne and Ashland counties. Wayne and Holmes county commissioners declared states of emergency last week, hoping that the declarations will help attract some state and federal funding. The counties are still working to figure out the full extent of damage and money lost, but estimates in Holmes County alone are already in the millions of dollars.
