Accident shuts down State Route 93 in Holmes County, spoils load of cheese

40,000 pounds of cheese spoiled this week, following a one-vehicle accident in Holmes County.  It happened Wednesday afternoon when a semi overturned on State Route 93, just outside of Baltic.  The cheese had to be tossed because the accident disabled the semi trailer’s refrigeration system.  No word on whether or not the driver was injured.  The road, meanwhile, was closed for about 12 hours before finally reopening early yesterday morning.
