Two teenagers were killed in a vehicle accident earlier today in Wayne County’s Salt Creek Township. The Ohio State Highway Patrol stated that the crash occurred at around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Criswell Road and Salt Creek Road.

According to reports, a Fredericksburg woman driving her vehicle failed to yield at a stop sign and struck by a dirt bike with a sixteen-year-old driver and a fifteen-year-old passenger. The driver and passenger were ejected from the dirt bike, with the driver being pronounced dead at the scene and the passenger being flown to Akron Children’s Hospital, but later succumbing to his injuries.

The Highway Patrol stated that the driver and passenger on the dirt bike were not wearing helmets and that alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
